Can We Escape from the Big Rip in the Achronal Cosmic Future?
نویسندگان
چکیده
Recently Pedro F. González-Díaz had shown that phantom energy can results in achronal cosmic future where the wormholes become infinite before the occurrence of the big rip singularity. After that, while the phantom energy continues its accretion, any wormhole becomes the Einstein-Rosen bridge. Pedro F. González-Díaz has suggested that such objects can be used by an advanced civilization as the means of escape from the big rip. Using the Bekenstein Bound we’ll show that it is impossible due to the very strong upper bound laid on the total amount of information which can be sent through this bridge.

The time evolution of a wormhole in a Friedmann universe approaching the Big Rip is studied. The wormhole is modeled by a thin spherical shell accreting the superquintessence fluid – two different models are presented. Contrary to recent claims that the wormhole overtakes the expansion of the universe and engulfs it before the Big Rip is reached, it is found that the wormhole becomes asymptotic...
متن کاملIsotropization in the approach to big rip singularities for Cardassian models
Cardassian models are an alternative to general relativity which have been proposed as an approach to explaining accelerated cosmic expansion while avoiding directly introducing dark energy. They are generally formulated only in the homogeneous and isotropic case. In this paper an extension of the usual formulation to general spatially homogeneous geometries is given. A characteristic feature o...
متن کاملHomogeneous and isotropic big rips?
We investigate the way big rips are approached in a fully inhomogeneous description of the space-time geometry. If the pressure and energy densities are connected by a (supernegative) barotropic index, the spatial gradients and the anisotropic expansion decay as the big rip is approached. This behaviour is contrasted with the usual big-bang singularities. A similar analysis is performed in the ...
متن کاملEnhanced Big Rip without Conventional Dark Energy # 1 Paul
A modified Friedmann equation which arises in an extension of general relativity which accommodates a time-dependent fundamental length L(t) leads to cosmological models where the scale factor diverges with an essential singularity at a finite future time. Such models have no dark energy in the conventional sense of energy possessing a truly simple pressure-energy relationship. Data on supernov...
متن کاملFuture State of the Universe
Following the observational evidence for cosmic acceleration which may exclude a possibility for the universe to recollapse to a second singularity, we review alternative scenarios of its future evolution. Although the de Sitter asymptotic state is still an option, some other asymptotic states which allow new types of singularities such as Big-Rip (due to a phantom matter) and sudden future sin...
